On July 10, the 18th Suzhou International Elite Entrepreneurship Week and the 3rd Suzhou International Science and Technology Innovation Conference grandly opened at the Suzhou International Expo Center. At the opening ceremony, all major awards of the “Win in Suzhou · Create the Future” 2026 Global Entrepreneurship Competition Finals were officially presented.

With its leading bio-enzymatic regeneration technology, ARCHIBIO stood out from 3,573 projects worldwide and won the First Prize in the Growth Group.
During the award presentation segment of the opening ceremony, Ni Chunqing, member of the Standing Committee of the CPC Suzhou Municipal Committee and director of its Organization Department, and Wang Jun, an expert entitled to special government allowances from the State Council, winner of the 6th “Suzhou Outstanding Talent Award,” and Chief Technology Officer of Suzhou Everbright Photonics Co., Ltd., jointly presented awards to the first- and second-prize winners in the Growth Group.

You Shengping, Chairman and CEO of ARCHIBIO, took the stage as the representative of the Growth Group First Prize project to receive the award, delivered an acceptance speech, and had a symposium discussion with Wang Wei, Deputy Secretary of the CPC Suzhou Municipal Committee and Mayor of Suzhou, engaging in in-depth discussions on expanding application scenarios, financing matchmaking, and other aspects.
He introduced: In the dual-carbon era, recycling textile waste is a trillion-yuan sunrise sector, and more importantly, an important livelihood issue related to ecological protection and industrial upgrading. Since its founding, ARCHIBIO has always adhered to its original aspiration of “making the world better through regeneration,” focusing on the R&D and industrial implementation of bio-enzymatic regeneration technology, overcoming the industry bottleneck in waste textile recycling and reuse, providing a new technical solution for circular economy development, and contributing ARCHIBIO strength to nationwide dual-carbon industrial upgrading.
He also thanked the “Win in Suzhou · Create the Future” 2026 Global Entrepreneurship Competition for building an open, fair, and professional top-level sci-tech innovation competition platform for global entrepreneurs, enabling entrepreneurial projects deeply engaged in hard tech and committed to industrialization to be seen, recognized, and empowered.
Why ARCHIBIO
A Technological Revolution from “300 Years” to “8 Hours”
To understand the weight of this honor, one must first look at a number: China is the world’s largest producer and consumer of textiles and apparel, generating more than 20 million tons of waste textiles each year, but the recycling rate is less than 30%. A large amount of discarded clothing ultimately ends up being incinerated or landfilled, with less than 1% achieving closed-loop recycling (Source: China National Textile and Apparel Council).
This means that more than 14 million tons of textile waste cannot enter the recycling system each year—this is not a “waste” of resources, but a “loss” of resources. The industry is calling for a truly sustainable path forward.
ARCHIBIO’s answer is bio-enzymatic upcycling. Through the highly efficient and specific YTZYME™, under ambient temperature and pressure, waste polyester textiles are precisely “disassembled” into basic chemical monomers—rPTA and rEG—and re-polymerized into recycled polyester (RB®PET). This process not only shortens the time from “300 years for natural degradation” to “8 hours for industrial enzymatic hydrolysis,” but also achieves the replacement of petroleum-based raw materials and a significant reduction in carbon emissions.
More importantly, bio-enzymatic recycling achieves not “downcycling” but “upcycling”—degrading to the monomer level and re-polymerizing means every cycle is a “rebirth,” achieving infinite “fiber-to-fiber” and “garment-to-garment” recycling.
Staying True to the Original Aspiration and Embarking on a New Journey of Green Circular Development
Standing at the new starting point of the competition’s First Prize, ARCHIBIO is accelerating the construction of a thousand-ton-scale industrialization production line, continuously optimizing processes and reducing costs, while vigorously expanding applications in high-value-added fields such as the automotive industry, food packaging, engineering plastics, and optical devices.
We are willing to join hands with more partners to promote the development of the green circular economy with innovative biotechnology, so that every piece of waste can have a “second life”!
